Healthcare providers may prescribe Anzemet® for the prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by surgery and chemotherapy. The medication comes in the form of a tablet that is generally taken an hour before chemotherapy or two hours before surgery to help prevent nausea and vomiting. While most people tolerate Anzemet well, potential side effects of the drug include diarrhea, fatigue, headache, and dizziness.
