Adcetris Drug Interactions
Adcetris Drug Interactions ExplainedThe following sections explain in detail the potentially negative reactions that can occur when Adcetris is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
Combining Adcetris with amphotericin B could increase your risk for amphotericin B side effects, such as kidney damage, low blood pressure (hypotension), and breathing problems. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely if you use these medicines together.
Using Adcetris in combination with bleomycin may increase the risk for lung problems. Because of this increased risk, these medicines should not be used together.
Biologic and Immunologic Medications
Combining Adcetris with biologic and immunologic medications could increase your risk for potentially serious side effects, including low blood cell counts and infections. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely if you use Adcetris with other biologic or immunologic medicines.
CYP 3A4 Inducer Medications
The liver breaks down Adcetris using enzymes known as CYP 3A4 enzymes. Medications known as CYP 3A4 inducers can increase the activity of these enzymes. Combining Adcetris with one of these CYP 3A4 inducers may decrease the level of Adcetris in your body, making it less effective. Talk to your healthcare provider before using Adcetris with a CYP 3A4 inducer.
CYP 3A4 Inhibitor Medications
The liver breaks down Adcetris using enzymes known as CYP 3A4 enzymes. Medications known as CYP 3A4 inhibitors can decrease the activity of these enzymes. Combining Adcetris with one of these CYP 3A4 inhibitors may increase the level of Adcetris in your body, possibly increasing your risk for side effects. Your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely for side effects if you use Adcetris with a CYP 3A4 inhibitor.
