Adcetris and Multiple Myeloma

Available by prescription only, Adcetris™ (brentuximab vedotin) is specifically approved for use in the treatment of Hodgkin's lymphoma and systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma in adults where the cancer has not responded adequately to other treatment.

However, there are also times when a healthcare provider may recommend this medication for something other than the approved uses. This is called an "off-label" use. For example, Adcetris is currently being studied for the treatment of multiple myeloma, leukemia, or other forms of lymphoma.

Adcetris works by binding to an important protein found inside the cancer cells, causing the cell to die.
