Adcetris and Lymphoma

Adcetris™ (brentuximab vedotin) is a lymphoma treatment that may help kill cancer cells and reduce tumor size. Specifically, this chemotherapy drug is approved to treat Hodgkin's lymphoma and a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma called systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). It is approved for use in adults only and is reserved for use after other treatments have been unsuccessful.

There are also occasions where a healthcare provider may prescribe Adcetris for treating other types of lymphoma, leukemia, and multiple myeloma. However, these are unapproved, or "off-label," uses for Adcetris.

(For more detailed information this lymphoma treatment, including how it works and why it is not approved for use in children, click Adcetris Uses.)
