The Actiq dose your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:- The type and severity of your pain
- How you respond to the medication
- Other medications you are taking
- Other medical conditions you may have.

Side Effects of Actiq
Just like any medicine, Actiq can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of Actiq may include but are not limited to:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Constipation
- Weakness
- Confusion
- Headaches
- Shortness of breath
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Rash
- Problems sleeping (insomnia).
